A musica Smoke on the water é uma musica de uma banda de rock, chamada Deep Purple.
Essa musica, fala sobre o que aconteceu com o grupo durante uma apresentação em um teatro, onde alguem incendiou o local. Foi daí que eles tiraram a idéia de compor a musica.
O nome da musica, foi por causa, que o baixista da banda, Roger Glover, viu o reflexo da fumaça num lago, e as fagulhas do fogo no céu, e daí vem o nome "Smoke on the Water" que significa "fumaça sobre a água". Inicialmente os integrantes acharam que esse nome ficaria parecendo algo sobre drogas, mas mesmo assim eles deixaram, e hoje é uma das clássicas e mais conhecidas do rock, e seu riff é inconfundivel.
Eu acho essa musica muito boa, é uma das minhas preferidas, não só por causa da história mas também pelo bom som que essa musicas tem.
